Take everything here with a grain of glacial silt or a pinch of snow. LakeLoui.se reflects one local's personal (and at times imperfect) understanding of this wild landscape and its storied history. It's an unofficial guide, born from mountain obsession, meant to lend a hand and hopefully kindle a similar wonder in others.

At its heart, this site is a personal love letter to Lake Louise. It is a strictly independent project and is not an official resource for (nor is it endorsed by) Parks Canada, the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, the Lake Louise Ski Resort, or Banff & Lake Louise Tourism. Please consult official sources for current rules and updates. Explore often, tread carefully, and know that you wander at your own risk.
