Paradise Bowl
Built 1982
The Paradise Triple, opened in 1982, was the first Yan lift at Lake Louise and the inaugural lift on the backside (Paradise Bowl); it revolutionised access by allowing skiers to lap the Back Bowls without long traverses to the Front Side. A double-section lift (lower green towers in trees, upper white towers above treeline) with classic 1980s Yan design: bottom drive, top fixed return, hydraulic bottom tensioning, 13 towers, 144 chairs, 475 ft/min speed, and 1,820 passengers/hour capacity.
It remains the sole surviving Yan lift at the resort. Leitner-Poma performed sheave replacements on Tower 10 in 2015. Serves the Eagle Ridge (E.R.) sector, The Corridor, East Bowl, Crow Bowl, Paradise Bowl, and links to the Ptarmigan Chair and Front Side. See Eagle Ridge and Frontside Chutes for avalanche governance.
