Ptarmigan
Built 2008
A quad chairlift built in 2008 by Leitner-Poma (Ptarmigan Chair). Replaced the Ptarmigan Quad (Yan, 1991–2008), which had expanded backside terrain access and provided a key return route to the frontside. That Yan detachable was retired during the early 2000s modernization wave as the resort shifted to Leitner-Poma and Doppelmayr. The original Ptarmigan Double (1966–1992) improved access between areas when it opened. Provides access to the Ptarmigan zone and the Ptarmigan runs in the Back Bowls; key link to The Corridor, Exhibition, Paradise Bowl, Alley, and Temple Lodge. See Eagle Ridge and Frontside Chutes for backside terrain and avalanche governance.
