Larch
Last updated:
The main intermediate run in the Larch area (Run #148), served by the Larch Express lift. Named for subalpine larch (Larix lyallii); one of the few deciduous conifers, rare outside the specific elevation band of the Slate Range. The run’s distinct tree spacing is a byproduct of larch growth patterns at the subalpine limit; the trees turn bright gold in late September.
