Top of the World Express
Lift
Whitehorn
Built 2002
A six-person chairlift built in 2002 by Leitner-Poma. Replaced the Top of the World Quad (Yan, 1989–2002), which was part of 1980s expansions. Accessible from the Glacier Express. Carries skiers to the notch between Whitehorn Mountain and Eagle Ridge; passes over the Home Run Chutes; including the Calgary Rocks and Edmonton Rocks, limestone outcrops named for Alberta’s urban centres (historical ski-club nomenclature). Historic photograph of the Yan Top of the World Quad displayed in Whiskeyjack Lodge.
