Flight Chutes 1

Steep technical gully (Run 42) in the Flight Chutes complex on the Front Side. Accessible via the Home Run cat-track; sharp turn off the cat-track; entry often moguled from deceleration. Chute narrows mid-way with rock walls on either side before funneling onto the Flight Chutes Cat Track (Run 40) and lower Front Side toward Whitehorn Lodge. Not to be confused with Eagle Flight (Run 48); the hike-to run on the upper Front Side. Part of a concentrated expert zone with Flight Chutes 2, 3, Upshoots, and Mirkwood. Requires 160 cm+ snowpack; wind can deposit 40 cm overnight. See Eagle Ridge and Frontside Chutes.
