Rodney's Ridge

The massive ridge in the Back Bowls, named after Rodney Touche; General Manager from 1972 to 1985 who oversaw the resort’s rapid 1970s expansion and the opening of the Back Bowls in 1976. The ridge defines the upper boundary of the Wounded Knee terrain; patrollers sweeping Whitehorn 1 meet on Rodney’s Ridge to visualise the gully entrances and fence line before sweeping down the Wounded Knee cat-track toward Split Rock.
