White Rabbit

Black Diamond West Bowl

Run #162; a black diamond in the West Bowl (Pipestone Ridge), named for the snowshoe hare (Lepus americanus).

Access. Summit Chair → traverse along the top of the West Bowl; staircase hiking path to highest points or lower traverse from Outer Limits for mid-bowl entry. Terrain: alpine bowl and gladed trees; neighbours Outback (#161), Instructors Bowl (#160), Instructors Gully (#163).

Exit. Relatively straightforward exit onto a cat track; return to the main lift network without the tight, high-consequence funnels of the double-black chutes. A popular choice for expert skiers exploring the West Bowl.

Naming. Part of the resort’s shift from functional avalanche-target names toward ecological names; honouring the snowshoe hare.
