Whitehorn 1

Advanced terrain in the Whitehorn zone, accessed from the Pipestone Express. Named for Mount Whitehorn (2,637 m); the mountain’s pointed, horn-like summit remains snow-capped throughout early summer and provides the backdrop for the resort’s most aggressive terrain. Part of the patrol sweep sector: patrollers sweeping Whitehorn 1 clear the high cornices, meet the Saddleback sweeper on Rodney’s Ridge, visualise the WH1 fence line, and sweep down the Wounded Knee cat-track. Subject to rigorous avalanche control before opening after significant snowfall.
