Merlin is the “hidden gem” loop of the Pipestone system—shorter, gentle, and quiet. It’s the ideal add-on if you want a little extra distance without committing to a full system tour.

Terrain & Feel

• Character: Short, mellow loop with steady, easy gliding.
• Exposure: Fully forested; minimal wind.
• Best For: Easy miles, warm-up laps, or a calm cooldown.

When Open

Merlin is a favorite for low-stress skiing days and for pairing with longer Pipestone routes.

The Pipestone network (including Merlin) is closed for the 2025/2026 season. Check back next winter for reopening updates.
