Built 1960
A detachable Poma on the front side, installed around 1960–1961 from the top of the original Whitehorn gondola up toward today’s upper gondola area. Opened up much more Front Side terrain above Whitehorn Lodge, including what became Eagle Flight, Wiwaxy, and Headwall sectors. One of three detachable Pomas at Lake Louise by the mid-1960s; along with the Larch Poma; which was notable for a Canadian resort at the time. Replaced by the Eagle Chair (Mueller double, 1972) as the resort shifted from surface lifts to chairs for comfort and capacity.
