Wild Gully
Last updated:
One of the primary technical chutes in Upper Boomerang (formerly Hiker’s Paradise) and North Cornice area; the hike-to expert zone reached by a 15-minute boot pack from the Boomerang traverse. Narrow entrance; steep, sustained pitch; rock-lined walls requiring precise edge control and jump-turning. Ghostly Gully is the adjacent chute. Both are sensitive to snow depth; can choke with rocks or develop ice bulges in low-snow conditions.
Access
Summit Chair → traverse Windy Gap → Upper Boomerang → boot pack. March typically offers best coverage. See Upper Boomerang.
