Whitehorn

Built 2002

A six-person chairlift built in 2002 by Leitner-Poma. Replaced the Top of the World Quad (Yan, 1989–2002), which was part of 1980s expansions. Accessible from the Glacier Express. Carries skiers to the notch between Whitehorn and Eagle Ridge; connects Glacier Express riders to the Summit Chair sector. Passes over the Home Run Chutes; including the Calgary Rocks and Edmonton Rocks, limestone outcrops named for Alberta’s urban centres (historical ski-club nomenclature). Historic photograph of the Yan Top of the World Quad displayed in Whiskeyjack Lodge.
